Camden Market...

by Lizian @ 10 Feb. 2008 - 21:44:57

As you know Lizian stood during the summer of 2006 at Camden Market... we met so many incredible friends, and there are so many people who earn their money on a Saturday and Sunday by standing on their market which is Camden... 300,000 people visit it every weekend.. frankly it was the most incredible place to stand and trade... but for us the distance proved too much - 250 mile round trip on a Sunday was just too far after our usual 6 days in nottingham market and the rest of our escapades! We feel so priveleged to have stood on that market - and we really feel for all of the people who may have lost their livlihoods because of this fire. Camden market was always a special place for us. And we have had one or two (!) pints in the Hawley Arms!

Lets throw our thoughts to alot of people who will be totally lost on the material and emotional realms this evening. All people who have stood on Camden Market will know exactly our feelings. Its a special place. God bless you all and may the big man (or woman) ... bless every single trader and their families at this terrible time.

I agree, it was a favourite haunt of mine when I lived in London years ago, I loved Camden. We used to drink in the... damn I cant remember its name oh yeah- the Carnarvan Castle, hells angels as bouncers :)) Its awful what has happened there, really terrible :( I have mixed feelings about the place though, as a good friend, someone I loved dearly, drowned in the canal , I think it was 1989, yeah long story that one, luckily I wasnt there but its where my mermaid thing comes from.. and that is the first time I have written that. I must be getting emotional  seeing the pics of it on fire on the news was horrible.

The All, Creator, G_D.. whatever... gives us incredible insight... that monumental catastrophes instill so much emotion. And release so much ... god bless you my dear friend...Lizian
