Lizian...SummerTime

After the Easter weekend things went a little quiet ... mainly due to the fact that I had a streaming cold - first one for years!! All clear now though and back at the helm!

Revisited Ely on Sunday and while down that way paid a visit to the American War Cemetery at Madingly, Cambridge... if you are ever in that neck of the woods it is definitely worth a visit - what an amazing place - as you can see from the photos - simply amazing, on the wall are the names of over 5000 american servicemen and women who were 'missing in action' - bodies never found... the crosses mark over 3800 graves of those servicemen and women who are buried here... Incidentally the chapel and wall are built of Portland Stone...

after the visit to Madingly, we found ourselves sitting by the river in Ely, enjoying the late March sunshine and watching the boats go by... just perfect...
