Lizian were at The Lawn In Lincoln last Thursday, just before Hallowe'en, to join Darren Stanton for his 'Seance at the Assylum' event - a recreation of a Victorian Seance - and what a good night we all had... Ian Timothy of Lizian entertained with his stories of ghosts and ghostly goings-on...Ian introduced many for the first time to the ouija board and how to use it to communicate with the departed... and led a tour of the place - once the County's Assylum ... Darren hosted a 'Victorian Seance' and entertaining all who attended - again, a great night... here's a few pictures of the building and the evening's events... we had a 'visitor' sitting on the stairs, watching the guests arrive..., the bell is the original bell that hung in the roof of the Assylum and would have been rung to call the 'inmates' to the excercise yard, and also to alert the neighbourhood of an escape, and the chapel - a very atmospheric room indeed! ...
the exercise yard now has a roof on and is enclosed within the building, used as a function room - but you can still capture the atmosphere... one of the guests, Jon, with a 'spirit orb', our 'visitor' from the past, and the seance room...
